# Thai Chilli Basil Lentil Patties

## Ingredients

-   1 cup red lentils, rinsed and soaked for 2 hours
-   1/2 cup cooked peas
-   1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (red or yellow)
-   1/2 cup finely chopped spinach
-   3 tbsp [Root-Free | Umami Thai Chilli Basil Sauce](https://smallbatch.co.in/products/jbatch-umami-thai-chilli-basil-sauce)
-   1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (optional, if available)
-   1 tbsp olive oil
-   1 tsp cumin seeds
-   1/2 tsp turmeric powder
-   1/2 tsp paprika
-   Salt to taste
-   Oil for frying

## Instructions

1.  **Prepare Lentils:** Drain and rinse the soaked lentils. In a food processor, blend lentils until you have a coarse mixture (not completely smooth).
2.  **Prepare Patties Mixture:** In a bowl, mix the blended lentils with cooked peas, bell peppers, spinach, [Root-Free | Umami Thai Chilli Basil Sauce](https://smallbatch.co.in/products/jbatch-umami-thai-chilli-basil-sauce), cumin seeds, turmeric powder, paprika, and salt.
3.  **Form Patties:** Shape the mixture into small patties or discs.
4.  **Cook Patties:** Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5.  **Serve:** Serve hot with a side of yoghurt or as a snack.
