Ingredients

  • 4 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or iceberg)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced bell peppers (any colour)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup Root-Free | Slow Cooked Black Bean Sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Vegetables: In a bowl, combine sliced bell peppers, sliced cucumber, and cooked chickpeas. Toss with Root-Free | Slow Cooked Black Bean Sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Assemble Wraps: Lay out lettuce leaves. Spoon the vegetable mixture into the centre of each leaf.
  3. Drizzle and Garnish: Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  4. Serve: Fold the lettuce leaves around the filling to create wraps. Serve immediately as a fresh and crunchy meal.
